about

Liz Martin has the kind of voice that makes you want to lean in close – a deep, lush and beautiful sound. It’s a voice and talent that’s earned her a gold record with Paul Mac, tour spots with Sigur Ros, Silverchair and The Black Keys and the long-standing respect and admiration of Sydney’s underground electronic scene.

Now after many months exploring warm 60s & 70s sounds and working with some of Sydney’s finest musicians Liz Martin is serving up a sneak preview of her break-out third album (out in April) with her super-catchy single and album title track ‘Dance a Little, Live a Little’ - a rocking, rumbling homage to living joyously.

“I wanted to write a big fat happy positive change inspiring singalongable dance track... without it being too twee. I think it worked out ok. I think John Lennon would dig it. It has my nephew, who is 9, singing the backing vocals of ‘free the world, free the world with your love...’ from the other side of the world in Los Angeles. It's a simple message kinda song. It's full of hooks and hope.” says Liz of the track.

Track Name: Dance a Little, Live a Little
DANCE A LITTLE, LIVE A LITTLE

for the world, let's build a little ladder
stand up, raise a little banner
for our heart, we can dance a little stranger
in the dark, we can wave a little louder

cause time is running...

free the world, free the world with your love
dance a little, live a little
free the world, free the world with your love
love a little, live a little

love - let's make a little party
hope - let's dream a little dream
for the stars, let's trip a light fantastic
but for now, let's plant a little bean

cause time is running...

I remember the clouds
I remember the dark
I remember the bells
won't be long, long, no, no, no
